In very good condition. Binding is solid. Pages are clean. Minor scuffing to spine label of volume two. Some pages remain uncut.
Rees Howell Gronow (1794 – 22 November 1865), aka "Captain Gronow", was a Welsh Grenadier Guards officer, an unsuccessful parliamentarian, a dandy, and a writer of celebrated reminiscences. This two volume set from him is an entertaining glimpse into Regency and Victorian life, a period defined by extreme fashion consciousness, wit, and refined manners, spearheaded by figures like Beau Brummell.
